The past year has been very busy for the new hospital project’s management team.
In fact, over the past few months, the team has worked very hard to deliver a functional program that clearly defines the functional and operational needs of the future Centre hospitalier affilié universitaire de l’Outaouais (CHAU).
A large-scale project
This is a major undertaking because it is the result of extensive collaboration among field experts, the institution’s project team, and external professionals mandated by the CISSSO. The project was carried out by integrating the collaborative design approach (Lean), the objective of which is to optimize care processes and journeys in order to provide the best “patient experience” possible and to establish efficient clinical processes.
The Functional Program encompasses all the services incorporated into the UAHC project, in keeping with the projected volume of clinical needs anticipated by the clinical plan and the provisions of the recognition notice issued by the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux in March 2021.
The program is structured in such a way as to group the services by functional affinity based on six major areas of activity:
- Diagnostic and therapeutic
- Clinical support
- General support
- Research and academic mission
In the spirit of boldness, cooperation, commitment and caring, the work continues!
